Writing by Scott on Sunday, 29 of June , 2008 at 7:57 am

Hi, there was no internet access at the Villa outside of Rufina so now that we are spending a couple of days in Florence (beautiful city!) we have time to catch up. Michelle has added to the travel journal so click here to visit the journal or look under Websites on the right hand side of this page.

Italy Day 2 – Bus Tour of Rome

Writing by Scott on Sunday, 22 of June , 2008 at 11:04 am

We went on an “Open Tour” bus on day 2 to get an overview of the city. We had another killer nap (still trying to adjust to Italian time) and spent the evening at the Trevi Fountain and the touristy area around there. We had a really mediocre meal at a touristy restaurant near the fountain. Michelle will fill-in details with a full blog post. Lindsay went camera crazy so beware of the 100+ pictures…

Travel Journal – Day 1, 2 & 3 – Rome

Writing by Michelle on Sunday, 22 of June , 2008 at 10:45 am

I changed the format of our journal posts and put them all on one page as the entries are long and I haven’t figured out how to shorten the homepage posts just yet (working on it!). Click here to see all journal postings by Michelle for our trip to Italy. I’ll continue to post pictures by day as I get to them and post Michelle’s writings as they come in. We’re having a blast!

Italy Day 1 – First Day in Rome

Writing by Scott on Sunday, 22 of June , 2008 at 10:28 am

Michelle is writing up the details from our first few days in Rome, but I wanted to post some pictures from Lindsay’s camera for Day One. This includes some snaps from our 3 hours in the Rome airport waiting for or luggage to catch up to us and the tourist T-shirts we had to buy as we waiting for our clothes to be delivered :-) . We found a GREAT Sardinian restaurant and had a wonderful meal. We’re excited to be here!

Photos from Boyz Hike 2007 – Glacier Park Montana

Writing by Scott on Tuesday, 10 of June , 2008 at 3:46 pm

In 2007, we took one of the great Boyz Hike (13 years and running!) to Glacier Park Montana. We started at Lake McDonald and hiked up to Arrow Lake. The next day we hiked to Camas Lake for two nights and a day hike to an upper lake whose name escapes me :-) . On our way back we stopped at Trout Lake. We fished every lake and pulled fish out of each. Great hike, great team, great time.

Usual Suspects Included:

  • Jeff Thompson – Planner, Leader, Fisherman
  • Greg Latimer – Flight Master
  • Eric Plateau – Scandinavian Fish Master
  • John Gerberding – The man who drives many miles without sleep
  • Dave Dawson – I can make it! Yes I can!
  • Patrick Boyer – Yes, another Trinity Chi Delt on the hike
  • Scott Fasser – GPS Boy/Failure

Here is a web album from Google that has all the picks – enjoy!
