Season’s Greetings from the Fasser Family! We hope this letter finds you happy and healthy. Our family collectively had a really great year. We had so much fun when we were together. I really look forward to our time over the holidays.
Jackson had a blast snow boarding in Utah over the winter and enjoyed playing in 2 different bands. Over the summer he had numerous back packing trips and saw a lot of concerts. He also had a blast at his first family wedding in Santa Cruz as an adult guest. Jackson is working in the catering department of the Grand American Hotel in SLC and he is studying Spanish and Russian. He is currently gearing up for his junior year study abroad! He will leave right after the holidays and is planning to back pack from Lima to Santiago before starting his program in Valparaiso. His program ends in June at which point he plans to back pack from Santiago to Buenos Aires.
Lindsay had a great year! Early in the year she participated in the ensemble of Woodland Park Players review of Nice Work If You Can Get It. The rehearsal schedule was a huge time commitment but she had a blast and made many new friendships. In April she made a career change moving from Kasana Health and working from home to Whittier Elementary School where she works as a Special Education Instructional Assistant. She mostly works with kindergarten and 1st graders helping them adapt to a general education setting. She absolutely LOVES her colleagues and is constantly entertained by the students. Over the summer she enjoyed reconnecting with Seattle as a single woman in her 20’s (what a blast!). She recently moved into an adorable house in Fremont with two close friends from Ballard High School and a very yummy cat that won’t leave her bed. After enjoying the summer off (love that educator schedule!) she returned to Whittier. This winter is all about the skiing and hanging out with her friends.
Scott is having a year of “yes”! He just celebrated the one year anniversary working at Point B. Scott is a managerial consultant running the marketing technology group. He is working with some fun companies such as Disney +, Starbucks, San Mar and Care Oregon. This years highlights included our trip to Palisades/Alpine Meadows in the Lake Tahoe area, concerts at the Gorge, a fabulous week long visit from college friends on their PNW tour (from Texas) and completing his first 100 mile bike ride in a day. Other highlights included hiking the High Uintas Mountains in Utah with Jackson & Oso and experiencing a high performance race car experience with his father to celebrate his 80th birthday as well as attending a family wedding in Santa Cruz.
I am still working as an organizer, enjoying all of my clients. This year has been so fun experiencing as much live entertainment that I could fit in. Highlights were Beautiful the Musical, Nice Work If You Can Get It and Hamilton as well as musicians Brandi Carlile, Chris Stapleton, Jacob Dylan, Lucius, The Chicks, Gangstagrass and Lizzo. Travel to Lake Tahoe, Bend, San Francisco, Santa Cruz and Tucson were all a blast. My cousin Claire’s wedding to her fabulous fiancé’ Doug was definitely a highlight this year. Gaining his family from Kansa City was a gift to us all for sure! I spent as much time as I could in Mazama which was lovely. We lost our dear old girl Lucy this fall at age 14. Not a happy moment certainly but I did feel so much gratitude to have had such a great dog in our life for as many years as we had. She was the best and we will all really miss her.
However you choose to spend this holiday season we hope that you do so with peace and love in your heart.
With Love,
Michelle and family
